Sioux Falls Post 15 West Makes The Most Of 5 Hits In 4-0 Victory Over Rapid City Post 22

Sioux Falls Post 15 West and Rapid City Post 22 both threatened with rallies, but it was Sioux Falls Post 15 West that eventually took advantage of them in a 4-0 win at Canary Stadium.
Rapid City Post 22 got six hits compared with just five for Sioux Falls Post 15 West, but Rapid City Post 22 stranded eight on base.
Sioux Falls Post 15 West’s Jalen Boyd kept Rapid City Post 22 off the scoreboard for all seven innings he was on the bump. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on six hits while ringing up three.
Broudou Soucy took the loss for Rapid City Post 22. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked five, struck out five, and allowed four runs.
Sioux Falls Post 15 West stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the second, scoring two runs on a groundout by Kyle Gulbrandson and an RBI single by Chandlar Austin.
Sioux Falls Post 15 West piled on two more runs in the bottom of the sixth. A ground out scored Austin Wise for the inning’s first run. That was followed up by Gulbrandson’s single, scoring Garrett Powell.
