Early Boost From Austin Wise Helps Sioux Falls Post 15 West Get Past Sioux Falls East, 9-4

Five first-inning runs helped Sioux Falls Post 15 West to a 9-4 win over Sioux Falls East at Harmodon one on Wednesday.

Sioux Falls Post 15 West scored in the first on a two-run double by Austin Wise, a two-run double by Justin Aldrich, and an RBI single by Connor Hurley.

Austin Wise put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for Sioux Falls Post 15 West.

Sioux Falls East couldn’t get anything going as long as Louis Peterson was on the mound. Sioux Falls East managed just two hits off of Peterson, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his three innings of work.

Aldrich got it done on the bump on the way to a win. He allowed four runs over six innings. He struck out seven, walked three and surrendered seven hits.

Charley Illg, Hurley, Austin Wise and Aldrich helped lead Sioux Falls Post 15 West. They combined for nine hits and seven RBIs.

Two runs in the top of the second helped Sioux Falls East close its deficit to 5-2. An RBI single by Matt Graham and an RBI single by Elliot Barnes fueled Sioux Falls East’s comeback. Aldrich ended the inning by getting Aaron Nesbitt to.
