Hartford’s Seventh Inning Charge Helps Upend Sioux Falls Post 15 West, 3-2

Hartford took the lead in the seventh inning, and Sioux Falls Post 15 West was unable to muster a comeback, losing 3-2 in seven innings on Sunday at Harmodon two.
Jalen Boyd was a workhorse on the rubber for Sioux Falls Post 15 West. Boyd allowed three earned runs, six hits and two walks while striking out five over seven innings of work.

In the top of the second, Hartford grabbed the early lead, 2-0. Justin Sebert got things going for Hartford with a single. A stolen base then moved Sebert from first to second. Dylan Masterson doubled, scoring Sebert. The scoreboard lit up again for Hartford when Masterson scored.
It didn’t take long for Sioux Falls Post 15 West to respond as it scored two runs of its own in the second. Sioux Falls Post 15 West scored on a walk by Justin Aldrich and an RBI single by Isaac Nelsen.
The lead stayed with Hartford after the seventh, when it scored one run on an RBI double by Brandon Mcknight.
