Sioux Falls Post 15 West jumps on Parkston early and coasts to 15-1 win

An 11-run explosion in the first inning lifted Sioux Falls Post 15 West to a 15-1 win in four innings over Parkston at Crofton on Friday.

Sioux Falls Post 15 West scored in the first on an error, a two-run single byIsaac Nelsen, a wild pitch, a passed ball, an RBI single by Kyle Gulbrandson, a sacrifice fly by Chandlar Austin, a fielder’s choice, an error, a passed ball, and an RBI single by Nelsen.

Jalen Boyd put together a nice outing. Parkston managed just three hits off of Boyd, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his three innings of work.

Austin, Nelsen, Garrett Powell and Hunter Thompson helped lead Sioux Falls Post 15 West. They combined for six hits and eight RBIs.

Andrew Neguabaur was the game’s losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in zero innings, walked four and struck out none.

After posting one run in the second, Sioux Falls Post 15 West again scored one in the third. In the second, Sioux Falls Post 15 West scored on an RBI double by Austin, plating Powell.
